When will it stop?? Ooops, it's just starting!!
I must have been the only one born to the premise that we are accountable for our actions! It was only a matter of time before every corporate enterprise that has made poor decisions is being bailed out. $85 billion wasn't enough to help AIG have corporate boondoggles whilst also getting itself out of the paper shithole it got itself into. Now it wants/has $150 billion...the $700 billion wasn't enough...now the intrepid 3rd-in-line-to-the-Presidency wants us to bail out the manufacturers of Hummers, Tahoes, Jeeps, and Expeditions because they continue to litter all of the car dealers with more gas guzzlers. Soon the auto dealers will want bailed out because they can't pay their short term loans that were used to purchase the guzzlers. Can someone tell me why we have to produce more cars/trucks anyway when every car lot I pass has enough cars/trucks to provide one for most people on the highways driving a new car anyway! And Democrat haven Massachusetts is trying to make these electric cars illegal!! Go figure! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,449824,00.html
I feel sorry for the Lehman Brothers workers who weren't bailed out--yet AIG was...what political god(s) gets to determine companies' fates? Those who caused the issues to begin with? Barnie Frank, Chris Dodd, Jamie Gorelick...funny, Jamie Gorelick's name is being tossed about as possible Atty General in this new administration--hmmmmmmm--as former Vice Chair of Fannie Mae during its recent "heyday", she made $25 million dollars in salary. As Atty General, I bet she won't investigate herself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
Sit tight, hold on, this is going to be a good one! Oh, yes, and Bill Richardson as possible Secretary of State--can't we all just get along! The number 2 vote getter in the Democratic Primary might be called to be Secretary of HHS--isn't that nice...I am sure Hill will tell Barry to shove that one!!!

Thoughts for your consideration!!
- If you have sex with a prostitute against her will, is it considered rape or shoplifting?
- Can you cry under water?
- How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
- Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'... but it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'? Where's that extra penny going to?
- Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
- Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
- What disease did cured ham actually have?
- How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
- Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up like every two hours?
- If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?
- Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?
- Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
- Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.
- Why is 'bra' singular and 'panties' plural?
- Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
- If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?
- If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
- Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
- If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
- If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
- If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
- Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
- Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
- Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?
- Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

Change-abration
Change-abration = change+celebration
Good morning, all! We survived the election season, and the result is a monumentally historic one, no doubt. I hope all of the exuberance and energy that lead up to last evening will be translated into true change rather than subside and just be remembered as political marketing and rhetoric--"change we can believe in", "the change we need". All of the changes being discussed will require everyone to take part in their community in some way; to sacrifice their daily routines for something new, different and likely difficult; and to work tirelessly for the betterment of the country not of themselves. So, as we continue to see a stressed economy, please recall the changes that were discussed (on both sides) as well as to celebrate the change that is so clearly needed by and for everyone in this country.
I truely believe that our Constitution is NOT fundamentally flawed and that it is in fact an incredible document that was written over 200 years ago by men who had no idea of how our country would evolve over time. We live in a time with tremendous potential and have witnessed many historical events--we need to be the agents of change and continue or renew the understanding of the history of our country...and appreciate the document that we have inherited.

Nothing political cuz I am worn out by it all...
I know, I promised to write yesterday and didn't! We went to a movie which cut into my blogging time (that's the story and I am sticking to it!).
Went to see "The Secret Life of Bees"--very good movie. Kind of Huckleberry Fin-like and very eerie to see Dakota Fanning growing up!
Love the weather--it is great to get up and throw a sweatshirt on before walking the dog!
It's amazing (and sad) to see how much litter is in on the streets at any given time. We take an extra bag on our walks and fill up a plastic grocery bag almost every time...many people have become zombies to what is around them.
The good thing about our morning walks is encountering the same 4 cats who actually run up to great us--Zach wants to play and sniff butts but that isn't going to happen! Also, we are on the same walking schedule as a lady who is out for her morning walk. She is always carrying at least 2 bags but takes the time to stop and give Zach a kiss--at least she hasn't become a zombie!

Okay, my first blog...and my first rant!
I was encouraged to put this blog together...so, here goes...
There is a newly published interview with Barack Obama that was originally aired in 2001. In this interview, he insists that our US Constitution is "fundamentally flawed" and has a "blind spot". Doesn't this 7-year old Obama view tie in nicely with his relationships with Ayers, Wright, Pfleger as well as his wife's statement that she is only recently "proud of her country'? Yes, our founding fathers did make mistakes, but the foundation of our Constitution is brilliant and provides for a well-balanced, 3-branch Federal Government.
Also, a poll of UN workers indicates that the UN is extremely excited about the probability of his winning the Presidency? The UN seems to exist to be contrary to the US's policies. Doesn't the fact that the UN, Hugo Chavez, Hezzbolah, Ahmadinejadand, Ayers, and other US-haters are excited about his probable Presidency? Obama wants to spread America's wealth not just within our country but also around the World...is that what you want? http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=56405
I fear his election to the US Presidency, but there is not a lot I can do at this point. The media is so infatuated with him that no matter what facts are presented, the media will not publish anything negative about him. Journalism, as an art, is nearly extinct. Few outlets publish the facts--just their editor's slant on the issues. More effort has gone into "exposing" Palin's wardrobe costs & "Trooper-Gate" than into the Obama/Ayers relationsip or the Obama/ACORN relationship or the World Poverty Bill. Consider the fact that the Obama Campaign cancelled all further interviews with the Orlando TV station that dared question Biden about the "spread the wealth" comment -- this is not the first time he or his campaign has censored facts -- several YouTube videos have disappeared after being exposed to the World. His campaign and possible Presidency will start to control any media outlet that dares to question him! We are stepping closer to Socialism, Communism, Marxism and further away from Capitalism...and very few people seem to be aware of this.
Obama is conveniently using slight of hand in describing his tax plan. It is impossible to provide tax breaks to "95% of the American people". Keep in mind, roughly 40% of the American people don't even pay Federal Income taxes! For all the programs that Obama wants to implement, how is he going to pay for them?? If the near majority of tax paying citizens are NOT paying, and he is proposing a tax cut for most of the rest of American's...where is the money going to come from???????? If we want to stop shipping jobs overseas, they why tax current US companies and even higher corporate tax??
That's all for my first post!!
